Paulo, from Togo, had to cross the Atlantic ocean and trek from Bolivia to Mexico in a trip that is lasting more than a year. Because of his sexual orientation he was persecuted by people in his community and rejected by his family. He had no choice but to go from one continent to another, from country to country, without money and unable to communicate with anyone because he does not know the language. Now he is waiting in a shelter in Nuevo Laredo to cross to the US and start over.
