CAR: Health clinic for children in PK 5 neighborhood of Bangui

MSF France has a health clinic for children who are between 0-15 years old in the so-called PK5 neighborhood of the capital Bangui. It is the rainy season and the cases of malaria are peaking. Last week, the clinic treated more than 800 children. The majority of them had malaria, but there are also many cases of respiratory infections. Malaria is the number one killer of small children who are between 0-5 years old. The Central African Republic finds itself in a chronic medical emergency. Poverty is rampant and for a many families it would be difficult to have their children treated if consultations were not free of charge.
