Azaz District, Syria

In Azaz district, Syria -the health system is suffering as fighting continues, supply lines are cut, medical staff are fleeing and
hospitals close. In two days MSF’s hospital in Azaz district, has seen a 50% increase in outpatient consultations as displaced people arrive.

MSF has counted 23,000 new arrivals in camps and surrounding areas. Numbers are changing all the time, and are likely to increase if fighting continues. The biggest needs are for people living outside of camps who have almost no access to assistance. MSF has provided essential shelter items including tents, blankets + mattresses to more than 700 families.

MSF will continue tent and hygiene kit distributions and assessing in particular the situation for IDPs outside the camps in particular at health needs and food and water and sanitation needs.
