Alpha, Boubacar et Koné sont mineurs étrangers
et vivent à Paris dans la rue depuis plusieurs mois.

Alpha, 15 ans, Guinéen
Le plus dangereux je pense c’est d’être seul. Tu vois aussi certaines personnes tabasser des gens et il n’y a personne qui parle et ça aussi ça fait très mal.

L’Etat doit proposer à tous un hébergement d’urgence en période hivernale.

Koné, 16 ans, Ivoirien
Il y a des fois où on ne parvient même pas à dormir tellement il fait froid. Tu restes du coup jusqu’au matin, tu peux même pas dormir. C’était la souffrance totale.

Pourtant en France, de nombreux mineurs étrangers passent l’hiver dans la rue.

Boubacar, 16 ans, Guinéen
C’est la première fois que j’ai vu des gens dormir comme ça en Europe. Je me disais que c’était pas possible. Imagine que des gens meurent dans la méditerranée pour venir ici. Donc c’était pas du tout facile pour moi de dormir dans cette tente mais c’était obligé.

Après deux mois dans la rue, Boubacar a été reconnu mineur par un juge.

Koné, 16 ans, Ivoirien
On nous demande « vous dormez où », on dit « on dort dans la rue », mais c’est dangereux, un mineur ne doit pas dormir dans ce coin parce qu’il y a plein de choses qui se passent là-bas. La police aussi circule trop, à cause de ça nous on avait très peur, souvent on est dans la tente, il ne fait pas froid, il n’y a pas trop de fraîcheur mais on a peur parce que c’est dangereux.

Depuis 2018, MSF a hébergé et accompagné près de 350 mineurs isolés
et organisé plus de 900 mises à l’abri d’urgence.

Foreign minors Alpha, Boubacar and Koné have been sleeping rough on the streets of Paris for several months.

15-year old Alpha is from Guinea
I think being alone is the most dangerous. We’ve seen people getting beaten up, but nobody talks about it. That’s what really hurts.

During the winter months, the state is responsible for offering the homeless unconditional accommodation.

16-year old Koné is from Côte d’Ivoire
Sometimes it’s so cold we can’t sleep. We end up staying awake until morning, because we just can’t sleep. It’s miserable.

But, like Alpha, Koné and Boubacar, many foreign minors in France sleep rough during the winter.

16-year old Boubacar is also from Guinea
The first time I saw people sleeping rough was in Europe. I’d never imagined that could happen. Think about it. People die in the Mediterranean to get here. Sleeping in the tent isn’t easy, but I have to.

After two months of sleeping rough, a judge finally ruled that Boubacar
was a minor.

16-year old Koné from Côte d’Ivoire
People ask us, “where do you sleep?” and we say, “on the street”. But it’s dangerous. Minors shouldn’t be sleeping here because there’s a lot going on. There’s lots of police too, and we’re scared of them. Often, we’re in the tent and it’s not that cold, but we’re frightened because it’s dangerous.

Since 2018, MSF has provided 350 unaccompanied minors with shelter and support and found emergency accommodation for over 900 other adolescents.
