SEEKING ASYLUM IN TIMES OF COVID-19: LESS PROTECTION, MORE RISK

The COVID-19 pandemic is disproportionately impacting the world’s most vulnerable populations. Among them are the world’s more than 70 million forcibly displaced people – refugees, asylum seekers, internally displaced people (IDPs) as well as migrant workers, including undocumented migrants. Many of these men, women and children live in poor conditions all over the world, with lack of access to basic services such as clean water, food, sanitation or inadequate access to healthcare, as well as lack of legal status. Karla Patricia Amador Gámez, an MSF patient from Honduras, currently living in Mexico City, shares her story.
