of MSF here in Sudan, in White Nile.

It is an area where MSF is working
since 2014

just after the conflict erupted
in South Sudan,

in the neighbouring country.

So thousands of refugees came here
looking for shelter.

Welcome to our hospital in Al Kashafa.

this hospital in 2019.

In December we received
the first patients.

Here we are in OPD,
outpatient department,

where patients get triaged
and from here

they can go to different services.

This hospital is close to one
of the nine (refugee) camps

located in White Nile.

We are in the ITFC
(inpatient therapeutic feeding centre),

where we admit

malnourished children
with medical complications.

We provide them with therapeutic food,

therapeutic milks,

oxygen…

This baby, Sakir, was in this ward.

After a few days, he recovered
from his condition.

We transferred him to another ward
and gave him ready-to-use food.

In the other ward,
we gave him this ready-to-use food.

He was eating this food well,

so we discharged him and took him home.

He continued his treatment at home.

And now, thanks be to God,
he is 100 percent.

Now we are in neonatology,

where we admit neonates

with different conditions
like neonatal sepsis,

respiratory distress.

We provide them with oxygen,
antibiotics and other quality care.

So we are in male ward.

This patient is brought here

for severe malaria two days ago.

We provided malaria
treatment for him.

Now his condition is okay.

Malaria is one of the common
morbidities in our facility.

we have some cases that we need
to refer to the capital,

for surgery or for c-section
in complicated deliveries.
