After 10 years of conflict

between armed groups
and the Nigerian government,


the security situation is deteriorating.

We're talking about
7 million people in need,


more than 2 million people displaced


and the most acute problem

is the number of people
who has no access to humanitarian aid.

More than 1.2 million people
who are under control of armed groups,

and humanitarian organisations
have no access to this population.

It is more and more of a challenge
for humanitarian organisations

to deliver
essential humanitarian assistance.

The organisations
are more exposed to the violence,

have more limited access
to the population

due to this conflict
and to the violence.

But on top of this
there are limitations.

Counter-terrorism
is limiting the access


of humanitarian organisations

and the application
of the humanitarian principle.
