MSF decided to set up a mental health and psychological support program for mothers in 1996 in Hebron. The goal is to rebuild the link between mothers and children to avoid malnutrition and other forms of reglect which babies can suffer as a result of the distress of their parents, family and social group. These children can show signs of slow development, depression or anxiety, which can lead to a loss of life force, sleeping difficulties and a loss of appetite.
