With the escalation of fights inside Mosul and surrounds, the humanitarian crisis in Iraq worsen. To answer to the medical needs of the Iraqi population, MSF (Doctors Without borders) opened a field Hospital equipped with and surgery unit around 30 km north of the town and set up another one in Al-Qayyarah 60 km to the south.
The hospital of Al-Qayyarah is planned to answer at the medical needs observed by the teams located in the south of Mosul. As the other structure in the north, the aim is to provide an appropriate surgery care inside the primary health care center of Al-Qayyarah, as close as possible to the front lines

Avec l’intensification des combats dans la ville de Mossoul et aux alentours, la crise humanitaire en Irak ne cesse de s’aggraver. Pour répondre aux besoins médicaux accrus des populations irakiennes, MSF a ouvert un hôpital de campagne doté d’une unité chirurgicale à environ 30 km au nord de la ville et en met en place un autre à Al-Qayyarah, à 60 km au sud.
L’hôpital mis en place à Al-Qayyarah est conçu pour répondre aux besoins médicaux observés par les équipes au sud de Mossoul. Comme pour l’autre structure dans le nord, le but est de fournir une prise en charge chirurgicale dans l’enceinte du centre de soins de santé primaires de Al-Qayyarah, aussi près que possible des lignes de front.
