Gaza Strip. January 2008. Once through the emergency phase, patients injured in the inter-Palestinian and Israeli-Palestinian conflicts continue to require regular post-operative care. But access to such treatment is far from guaranteed. Through patients' stories this film describes the current situation in Gaza Strip; it reveals the difficulties faced by humanitarian aid workers in what is one of the most radical contexts in the Middle-East today and shows how the health system is held hostage by the conflict. Despite the difficulties they are up against, the "French Doctors" remain determined in their foremost commitments. Impartial and accepted by all parties involved in the conflict, MSF implements the principles of providing assistance and speaking out with a new approach : humanitarian diplomacy.
