We were living peacefully when Boko Haram attacked us.

We've suffered a lot

It was hard to find something to eat.

We came here by foot,

we suffered a lot and were hungry.

My children and I didn't eat for days.

This child is my sister's son.

I was living with them at the time she gave birth.

When she passed away, I decided to look after him.

I was worried because everywhere I went, people said he was malnourished.

This happened because he didn't get good food.

I breastfed my two children, and it made me feel weak.

Every morning when I wake up, I feel weak.

I don't have good food at home.

I pray for the child to be healthy,

since I promised his mother I would take care of him.

I ask God that he survives, I don't want him to feel so bad.

I ask God that he takes care of him.

I want him to live in good conditions.

A week later, we came back to see Amina.

I've suffered for this child.

I left my children at home and came to the hospital.

I wanted my child to get better.

Now, he's dead. I couldn't fullfill my promise.

I didn't sleep since yesterday, because I was crying.
