MSF’s new report Complicated delivery ­– The Yemeni mothers and children dying without medical care outlines the impact of the war on mothers and children in Taiz and Hajjah governorates, as observed by MSF medical teams working in both locations.
Four years into the conflict, Yemen’s public health system has effectively collapsed and cannot meet the needs of the country’s 28 million people. Many mothers and children are unable to reach medical care in a safe and timely manner, often with deadly consequences – a situation witnessed daily by MSF teams.
