This video is part of the MSF Germany Awareness Campaign „HUMANITY WITHOUT BORDERS“.

The campaign is based on MSF’s Témoignage mandate and serves the idea to give an authentic and positive insight into the emotional world of refugees and migrants by powerful “stories about humanity” told by refugees or migrants, who we met within the MSF context. All together there are 5 mainvideos with our campaign protagonists with an identical visual concept. We also produced some extra material (5 videos) with MSFstaff as additional footage. The videos were shot in Uganda/Imvepi and Greece/Lesbos by photographer Ivo Belohoubek

Faris is from England and works as Communications Manager for MSF since February 2017.

Transcript:
We see a lot of different refugees and migrants here, coming here,
although in terrible conditions and extremely vulnerable, often looking out for each other,
because there's just a lack of actors actually looking out for them.
So it's quite nice to see them pull together and really look out for each other.
Over the course of time I've been here in Greece,
I've met a variety of different people
from different backgrounds, from different cultures.
All with unique personalities, all generally speaking extremely kind and interesting human beings.
I think it's a shame that these people are perceived as kind of the unknown or something to be worried about.
when It's quite evident -from my experience just spending time with them - they're just good people who care about other people.
And just want a better future for themselves and want to be treated with dignity and respect like any normal human being would want.
Speaking to these people and seeing their resiliences is motivating for me
but I really hoping for a better opportunity and a better future for them.
Because it's quite heartbreaking seeing these people being perceived as something devilish or wrong or bad when they're just like myself or my brothers and sisters.
