This area is our reception & waiting area. Here we receive patients and we check their medical condition, to see if it fits our admission criteria. MSF’s hospital in the East side of Mosul isn’t a general hospital, but it’s a specialized facility that provides medical services to people who have been injured during conflicts or who suffer from accidental injuries, due to, for example, car accidents or burns.

هذه منطقة الاستقبال ومنطقة الانتظار الخارجية وهنا نستقبل المرضى ويتم التحقق من حالتهم الطبية للتأكد أنهم ضمن معايير الإدخال ويقع مستشفى اطباء بلا حدود في الجانب الأيسر من الموصل هو ليس مستشفى عام وإنما مركز تخصصي يقدم خدمات طبية للناس الذين أصيبوا خلال النزاعات أو الحوادث مثلاً حوادث السيارات والحروق

We are now in front of the operational theatre, where surgeons, anesthetists and nurses perform every day surgical interventions such as to help our patients use again their wounded limbs.

التخدير والممرضون على إجراء التدخلات الجراحية لمساعدة مرضانا على إعادة استخدام أطرافهم المصابة

This area is called the in-patients department. It is where our patients stay before and after surgery. We have a female and a male ward. Here, the patients benefit from daily medical follow up, nursing care, wounds care , psychological support and health education .

هذه منطقة المرضى المقيمين داخل المستشفى ولدينا قسم نساء ورجال للمتابعة الطبية اليومية والعناية التمريضية والعناية بالجروح والدعم النفسي والتثقيف الصحي

That’s our laboratory. This place is very important as that’s where we can understand if our patients have infections and if these infections are resistant to antibiotics and need specific treatment. Thanks to the laboratory, our medical personnel can define the best treatment to heal the patient.

هذا هو المختبر، وهو مكان مهم للغاية حيث يمكننا أن نفهم ما إذا كان مرضانا مصابون بالتهابات، وما هي البكتيريا الموجودة لديهم وما إذا كانت إصابتهم مقاومة للمضادات الحيوية وتحتاج إلى علاج محدد. بفضل المختبر، يمكن لطاقمنا الطبي تحديد أفضل علاج لشفاء المريض
This is another part of our in-patients department, but this time organized in single rooms, for patients who suffer from infections resistant to antibiotics.

هذا جزء آخر من قسم المرضى المقيمين، لكن هذا الجزء يتم تنظيمه في غرف
فردية للمرضى الذين يعانون من التهابات مقاومة للمضادات الحيوية

Those patients are given single rooms rather than staying in other inpatient wards , to avoid the spread of infections to other patients and medical staff. In this area of the hospital, we follow strict hygiene measures. As you can see the personnel uses protective equipment, such as gloves and gowns to protect the patients and the medical staff from infections.

يتم إعطاء هؤلاء المرضى غرفاً مفردة بدلاً من الإقامة في باقي الردهات، لتجنب انتشار العدوى إلى المرضى والموظفين الطبيين الآخرين. في هذه المنطقة من المستشفى، نتبع تدابير النظافة الصارمة. كما ترى، فإن الموظفين يستخدمون معدات واقية، مثل القفازات والأردية الطبية لحماية المرضى والطاقم الطبي من العدوى

Our patients here are also often hospitalized for a long period and we support them not only with medical treatment, but also with psychological sessions and recreational activities, to help them cope with isolation and a difficult recovery process.

غالباً ما يبقى مرضانا هنا في المستشفى لفترة طويلة، ونحن ندعمهم ليس فقط بالعلاجات الطبية، ولكن أيضاً بجلسات نفسية وأنشطة ترفيهية، لمساعدتهم في التغلب على العزلة وعملية الشفاء الصعبة

In this area, hospitalized patients can spend some time during the day with their family members and friends. Our health promotion and mental health teams organise awareness sessions and playful activities to help patients cope with their recovery process.

في هذه المنطقة، يمكن للمرضى المقيمين في المستشفى قضاء بعض الوقت خلال اليوم مع أفراد عائلاتهم وأصدقائهم. وتنظم فرق التوعية الصحية والصحة النفسية جلسات توعية وأنشطة مرحة لمساعدة المرضى على التكيف مع عملية الشفاء الخاصة بهم

And finally, this place is called out-patient department and here, we provide medical consultations to patients who completed their treatment at the hospital and have been discharged, but still need regular follow-up.

وأخيراً، يُسمى هذا المكان قسم العيادات الخارجية، وهنا نقدم الاستشارات الطبية والعلاج للمرضى الذين أتموا علاجهم وخرجوا من المستشفى، لكنهم ما زالوا بحاجة إلى متابعة منتظمة
