It was Ramadan. It was after dinner. We were sitting down, talking and watching TV.together talking and watching TV.
We heard the sound of a missile, then the explosion.

Mahmoud lives in Saada governorate, in Yemen
His village was bombed three times by the coalition led by Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates

We fled from our homes and hid.
After a while, the second strike took place, then the third one.
Everyone fled, searching for shelter, somewhere to hide.

The school in Mahmoud’s village was also bombed.

I was not able to go to school,
and now it will be the same for my sisters and my children
We were deeply psychologically affected and frustrated.
The cost of living is so high.
We can’t afford basic necessities
despite the fact we work all day long.
I cannot provide food for my family.
And we can't go anywhere because roads have been destroyed, making travel difficult.
If someone is sick, we can't get to the hospital
because of the lack of transport and the state of the roads.
Besides, we can’t afford transport.
You want an education for your kids, but there are no schools, no money
There’s no education
because a school needs money

Life is tough, it’s very depressing;
There’s no life at all.
