00 00 13 05 We weren’t allowed to move. The military wouldn’t let us see what was happening.
00 00 18 41 They made us stand all night, until dawn.
00 00 23 14 Around midday, they split us up into groups of five.
00 00 29 30 Each group of women was sent into a different house,
00 00 33 14 the same houses we’d run away from in the morning.
00 00 38 03 Once inside, one of the soldiers grabbed my son and threw him to the ground.
00 00 41 37 They killed my beloved son right in front of me.
00 00 45 01 Then they closed the door and dishonoured me.
00 00 54 32 They dishonoured us and then started slashing our bodies with knives.
00 01 03 47 They killed everybody, I only survived because I pretended to be dead.
00 01 11 07 I lay totally still, surrounded by dead bodies.
00 01 16 18 Then the soldiers left and set fire to the house.
00 01 19 37 They set the whole village ablaze.
00 01 25 20 That was when I managed to escape,
00 01 29 03 I went and hid in a field.
