We were under siege for three months.
We were stuck there.
The bombing was really intense.
Two of my children were killed in an airstrike,
And we decided to flee.
The house collapsed on top of them.
We couldn’t get them out.
They are still buried under the rubble.
We thought we could escape from house to house,
passing through the holes in the walls.
It lasted three months.
One day we’d had enough
And we decided to flee Raqqa.
People were dying!
At the end of the road there was a barricade, and mines.
Lots of them, not just one.
A mine exploded right next to us.
My daughter and I were wounded.
My wife, her three brothers and other family members were killed.
There were 13 of us when the mine exploded.
As you can see,
I’ve lost my legs.
